Nigerian defender Ola Aina, might not get a Premier League winners’ medal this season if Chelsea emerge champions.

The EPL rules state that players need to make a minimum of five appearances, to be eligible to pick up a medal. The threshold was reduced from 10 before the 2012/2013 season.

Aina is among the eight players that could miss out on a winners’ medal, having made only two substitute appearances against Leicester City and Bournemouth in the league.

He had made just six appearances for Chelsea this term in all competitions.

Mikel Obi will not, having failed to make a single appearance under Antonio Conte, before joing Chinese Super League side, Tianjin TEDA, in January.

Victor Moses is on course for a medal, having made 27 appearances, scoring three goals.
