Motorcycle vlogger Yanna Aguinaldo, better known as Yanna Motovlog, failed to attend a scheduled hearing before the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Tuesday, May 6, in relation to the controversial road rage incident in Zambales.
According to her legal counsel, Aguinaldo did not appear due to security concerns, claiming that she has been receiving threats and insults since the issue surfaced.
Despite her absence, Aguinaldo submitted a letter to the LTO where she apologized to Jimmy Pascua, the pick-up driver involved in the incident.
She also expressed her willingness to accept any penalty the agency may impose.
The LTO responded by directing Aguinaldo to surrender her driver’s license and present her motorcycle at the next hearing, which is set for Thursday, May 8.
Pascua, meanwhile, declined the apology and voiced his disappointment over Aguinaldo’s failure to face him in person.
On May 2, the LTO issued a show cause order to Aguinaldo over the incident. In the video, Aguinaldo was seen making an obscene hand gesture and accusing Pascua of reckless driving.
The vlogger continued to insult Pascua even as he tried to drive away from the confrontation.
Due to her absence, Aguinaldo may face legal actions and other penalties from the LTO.
