The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recoded over 400“weak to moderate” offshore earthquakes in Sultan Kudarat over the past three days.
According to the Philippine News Agency, at least 135 were plotted and had magnitudesranging from 1.5 to 5.2, and were felt between 10:52PM Monday, January 19, and 1PM
Wednesday, January 21 near the costal community of Kalamansig.20 of the earthquakes were felt, the PNA added.
A magnitude 5.1 earthquake, generated an Intensity IV, and was “strongly felt” in Labak,Sultan Kudarat. Palimbang, meanwhile, experienced Intensity III, and Intensity II at GeneralSantos City, Maitum, and Kiamba in Sarangani; Surallah, Santo Niño, Tupi, Norala, and T’Boli in South Cotabato, and Esperanza and Isulan in Sultan Kudarat.
M’lang in Cotabato, Digos City, Malungon, Maasim, and Alabel in Sarangani; Koronadal City,Banga, and Tantangan, South Cotabato, and Columbio, Sultan Kudarat felt Intensity I.
PHIVOLCS reminded residents to be vigilant as they issued earthquake and tsunamiwarnings Wednesday.

Maging handa sa lindol at gawin ang DUCK/DROP, COVER, and HOLD. Kapag naobserbahan ang alinman sa mga ito ay AGAD na LUMIKAS patungo sa mataas nalugar o papalayo sa dagat,” PHIVOLCS said, via ABS-CBN.
While there were no reported casualties or damages, the agency advised those living incoastal areas to be ready to evacuate in cases of tsunamis.
