In a Facebook post by someone named “Ali Caz,” the video shows the student breaking into tears upon seeing her father, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), who came home to accompany her onstage.

In an interview, Ali revealed that the father has been working in Saudi Arabia as a driver for the past three years.
The father reportedly returned to the Philippines in secret to surprise his child and attend the Grade 10 moving-up ceremony.
According to the uploader, the child was brought to tears because she is very close to her father, but they had been apart for three years due to his work as a driver in Saudi Arabia.
“Three years po kasi na hindi sila nagkita. And ang bata po kasi ay close sa father,” the uploader said.
The couple had carefully planned to surprise their child, so as soon as the father arrived from abroad, he went straight to his child’s school to witness the moving-up ceremony.
