As of 8:00 AM today, June 21, 2025, there is no Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored inside or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is currently affecting the western part of the country, bringing rains over several areas in Mindanao and the Visayas.
At the same time, easterlies continue to prevail and are causing scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Central and Eastern Visayas, Palawan, the Negros Region, the Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, and SOCCSKSARGEN.
A large part of Mindanao is also expected to experience isolated rain showers due to the effects of the easterlies.
The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat has not yet developed or affected any part of the country. However, it is forecasted to start affecting the western sections of Southern Luzon and the Visayas, possibly beginning tomorrow.
As a result, cloudy skies with widespread rains are expected today in Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Quezon, and the entire Bicol Region.
In Luzon, including Metro Manila, the weather will range from partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of sudden rain showers and localized thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening.
Residents in affected areas are advised to remain alert for possible flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying or mountainous locations.
The public is encouraged to stay tuned to PAGASAβs official channels for further weather updates and advisories.
